Imagine that your video was published 3 hours ago and you’ve jumped on to your YouTube Studio page to see how things are going. The first thing you see is “Latest Video Performance” and your video’s thumbnail. Under that, you have a few metrics about that video. You take a quick look at Views, CTR, and Avg View Duration. Judging by the checkmarks and arrows on the right, you can get a feel for if your video is doing well or not. 

Imagine further that you see that your video is not doing so well. Or imagine that your video is doing great. What do you do about it? Well, digging into a few areas of your Analytics will help you discover what’s really happening and why.

YouTube’s analytics section is rather robust and can take a while to understand and get comfortable with. However, in this class, I’m going to go over just a few of the most important areas you’ll want to get a grasp on so you can
