At the end of the course, you should see how the Factory Method Design Pattern can solve some common programming issues such as creating tightly coupled code or having to extend existing code whenever the requirements might change within your business.The technical aspect of this Design Pattern will first be explored through the creation of methods that assist in calculating the Area and Peter of a Square, Circle and Triangle. Our methods will be called via an ASP .Net Core Application making use of a RESTful API.This will be followed by a more real life example of an Inventory Management System (also developed in ASP .Net Core making use of a RESTful API) that interfaces with multiple database contexts using Entity Framework Core as an Object Relation Mapper and databases housed in a local SQL server.
