Theology matters. Everyone is a theologian because everyone has thoughts about God. The question is, Are you a good theologian or a bad theologian? As followers of Jesus Christ, we have the opportunity to grow in our knowledge of the truth so that we might love the Lord and others more. This class, which is part of a four part series, is designed to give an overview of the theological truths that accord with Christian orthodoxy.

Systematic Theology 1 provides helpful tools and clear, faithful methods to allow the Bible reader to study, filter, discern, and discuss what the whole Bible teaches about various topics. Specifically, the course will discuss 5 ground rules for doing theology, offer 5 reasons to love theology, consider a precise definition of theology, discuss how some theological concepts are more critical than others, and, finally, outline a clear and faithful method for doing theology.

This course is ideal for all those who are interested in learning more about the God of the Bible and the truth which he has revealed about who he is, who we are, where we came from, and where we are going.
