He burst onto the national scene with his hit single “Supermodel (You Better Work)” in 1993, and he went on to become the first drag queen featured in a major makeup campaign. He hosted The RuPaul Show on VH1 for more than 100 episodes, and he has appeared in many films, including The Brady Bunch Movie, To Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar, But I’m a Cheerleader, and the Netflix series AJ and the Queen.
