Balinese guardians of the Rakshasa Temple.
In Bali, it is very common to find figures of two statues on the right and left at the gates of a traditional building. Two statues are named after Dvarapala (the gatekeeper). Rakshasa literally means huge. In classical Indonesian building architecture, Dwarapala usually takes the form of a tall and muscular statue with baton-shaped weapons and thick curls adorning his head. Moreover, Dvarapala also usually shows a unique facial expression: bulging eyes, long large fangs adorning a subtle smile that simultaneously implies kindness and determination. The scary expression on his face was actually a warning to people not to inadvertently enter a guarded building. Dvarapala is not just an exhibit, it is of great importance, especially when it is placed at the entrance to the temple. It is believed that he is a reflection of the people who will enter the holy place. His expression reminds people to look at themselves in order to clear their thoughts, words and actions. In other words, before entering the holy place, we must give up our worldly qualities. Dvarapala figures have roles and functions with a very deep meaning. On a deeper level, the figures of Dvarapala are interpreted as guardians of the entrance so that people and negative energies do not cross through carelessness, which can harm the tranquility or weaken the sanctity of the central part and the territory inside the temple. Dvarapala's presence is also interpreted as a warning and teaching people to always behave politely and ethically when entering sacred and sacred places.

Bali scans is a collection of three-dimensional scans of art objects and furniture created on the beautiful island of Bali.
After a year of staying on the "island of the gods", I decided to digitally immortalize some architectural and artistic delights, which not only give visual appeal to projects, but also put a piece of the soul of this unique place. As part of this project, my goal is to popularize Balinese aesthetics in the world of design and architecture.
All models are optimized for ease of use. To render closets, it is enough to enable the Turbosmooth modifier.
